About Me
I use oil or mixed media to paint the land that can be seen in our suburban forest reserves, farmlands and national parks. My abstract landscapes are an expression of my love of nature's texture and form. I am endlessly inspired by the shapes, texture, pattern and light of my Australian home. My background in winemaking has led me and my family to create a fully functioning winery in the centre of Brisbane. City Winery provides me with a connection to the land and the produce it provides. My wine label creations tell the story of the land and the process of their creation. My artworks can be viewed at City Winery Brisbane.

FAQs
What if I don't like the finished product?
No problem. There is no obligation to buy the finished piece. I work closely with the client to gain an understanding of what they want but sometimes art doesn't turn out as we had hoped. This is the nature of art. It is sometimes full of surprises and these little surprises can either work in your favour or work against you. This is the risk I am willing to make every time I pick up a paint brush.
How will my artwork be delivered?
I use reputable couriers or if small enough, Australia Post. The freight will be discussed during the planning stage.
I don't know what my room needs or what I want!
That's ok. Often clients benefit from discussing the function of the room and how you wish to feel while in it. This is all part of the planning stage. The ancient chinese system of feng shui is sometimes useful when analysing the room. This system as well as your own intuition are used to tease out the goal and therefore the desired artwork. The experience of designing and creating your artwork is very satisfying. I will guide you in this planning phase.
Can you come to my house and tell me what I need?
Often a piece of art is best planned from the actual site to be painted. Some special places require me to visit them in order to get a sense of what the client wants to capture in the artwork. A painting of an historic site or a tribute to the original owner, for example, may benefit from me actually visiting the place. In this case, arrangements can be made on an individual basis for me to come to you.
